Ex President Unable To Secure Bond

Trump Ordered to Pay $464 Million in Fraud Case

Ex-President Unable to Secure Bond

Former President Donald Trump has been ordered by a New York judge to pay $464 million in a fraud case related to his defunct Trump University, but he has been unable to secure a bond to cover the amount.

Trump's efforts to secure a bond have been unsuccessful, as no private company is willing to guarantee the amount. In a legal filing before the New York Court of Appeals on Monday, Trump said he has pledged more than $100 million in cash and stocks and bonds that he could sell to cover the bond, but this has not been sufficient to secure one.

The bond is required to cover potential damages in the case, which alleges that Trump University misled students by making false promises about the value of its real estate education programs.

Trump has denied wrongdoing and has appealed the judgment against him. However, the court has upheld the order to pay the damages.
